Auction Bidding of Listings

Place ‘one time bid’ or set maximum for proxy bid

  • All bids show bid price and bid price plus buyer commission total
  • View ‘current bids’ in My Account > My Bids
  • Winning bid means obligation to purchase
  • Outbid means need to bid again to win item
  • If Seller has selected Buy it Now, Buyers use stops the auction immediately

Receive invoice with Seller's details and payment method

Respond to Seller to arrange payment / collection / delivery

Contact and Payment to be completed within 4 days of sale end

Make Offer

Sellers apre provided with a Make Offer function that they can add to their listing (Auction of Fixed Price). This provides potential bidders / buyers with the capability to make an electronic private offer for an item which has a fixed life span of maximum 48 hours. Within this 48 hours, the seller may accept, make a counter offer or decline the offer made. If the seller does not respond within 48 hours, the offer is automatically ceased. All of these functions are carried out electronically and sent to seller and buyer via email.

All Make Offer actions sent are considered as 'binding offers' in the same way as a winning auction bid. Where an offer or counter-offer is accepted, the system ceases the listing and automatically issues relevant payment request and relevant contact information to both buyer and seller for completion of sale. The deal is considered to be done!

Note. A Bidder / Buyer can only make three (3) offers for a single listing, so it is very necessary to not waste these offer requests with unreasonable offers.

Be advised that when you bid upon an item for sale with sellmegun.com – you are bidding to buy the item through this site, not to seek to simply view and decide post hammer. Whenever possible, always view before you bid and if you are unable to view and therefore unsure of your position, the answer is simple… Just don’t place a bid! If you bid and do not complete you will be deregistered until further notice.

Any Buyers (or Sellers) attempting to undertake third party deals upon sellmegun.com listed items outside of this site will be frowned upon and any person(s) who attempts such dealings will be deregistered until further notice.
